Charles Ruiz a French hairstylist, originally from Dijon, France, always knew he would come to New York City and the United States. He knew in order to do so, he had to train with the very best hairstylists all across Europe in order to set himself apart in such a big city in the US. He spent three decades honing his craft. First he trained in France at salons in Lyon, Annecy, Morzine, and Paris, where he worked with some of the most innovative and celebrated stylists of our time, including Bruno Pittini and Isabelle Luzet, stylist to French stars such as Claude Berry and Isabelle Hupert.
In Paris, Charles spent two years in the Jacques Dessange School Training Center. As the Jacques Dessange brand expanded, so did Charles’ career. He was then asked to move to Budapest, Hungary to become the Artistic Director at the Jacques Dessange salon, where he worked extensively with the fashion industry, creating styles for clients such as elite models, Oliver Lapidus and Ungaro. Charles was then asked to transfer to the United States with Jacques Dessange to represent his brand in Washington, DC. It wasn’t long before Charles dream of moving to New York came true and he became School Director where he has the opportunity to not only be a New York City hairstylist but you also train others and share his international skill set that he had worked so hard to obtain.
When Charles first saw the Westfield area of New Jersey, he knew he could have the best of it all. Access to the city and a beautiful place to raise his family. He decided to open his dream salon, Charles Studio along with his wife Anne. Clients immediately feel the difference in his work behind the chair and the inviting feeling of the salon. All of this is testament to Charles’ culture and worldly career that he infuses into the salon for client’s experience. Charles makes sure each of his clients can have it all. His salon offers the European charm he is used to, the friendship he enjoys, but also the cutting edge style and trends of New York and Paris that they expect and all in the suburbs they enjoy with their families like himself. Clients sit in Charles’ chair because they enjoy trading funny travel stories, speaking different languages with him (as he knows many), or are eager for some wise advice, all while they leave loving their hair. Glamour, fashion, trend and creativity inspired Jeanine to get into the hair Industry. She has trained with L’Oréal’s top colorist at the L’Oreal Academy in New York City, Frederic Fekkai salon in New York City as well as elite colorists from Jacques Dessange Group from Paris. With Jeanine’s 18 years of experience she has become an artistic and creative colorist that specializes in all types of hair color.
She creates variation of tones using foil or balayage to keep your hair healthy and vibrant why maintaining a natural look. Jeanine’s guest enjoy sitting in her chair for her outgoing, warm, and friendly personality along with her color skills and knowledge. She makes every guests experience an enjoyable one.

Cindy Paone

Cindy's source of inspiration is the dramatic impact that hair color can bring to the client's sense of style. She has over 20 years of experience in hair color, and has trained with industry leaders in New York and LA, as well as Jacques Dessange Paris. Cindy specializes in a full range of color services, including color correction and all forms of highlighting.
She has the strong ability to accommodate every client's needs and maintenance capabilities, while accomplishing a sophisticated and finished look. Cindy believes in classic, healthy color, with a current edge that enhances each client's individual expression.

Lisa Yusko
Hair Stylist
Lisa has not only been a part of Charles Studio itself from the very beginning, but also has 15 years of hair industry training under her belt. Her clients enjoy her experience and the difference they feel from her superior education through her years in the industry learning from international hairstylist such as Frederick Fekkai and Jaques Dessange. Her loyal clientele are committed to her after they feel the time and attention she shows to the detail in her work. She goes above and beyond with each client that sits in her chair not only in her haircuts but also in picking up where the conversation left off last time.
Lisa specializes in long sexy fluid women’s hair, short cool women’s cuts, and precision men’s cuts. Lisa regularly attends the L’Oreal Academy and in-salon classes to keep up with trends. She gives her clients a beautiful blow out that lasts for days and educates her clients on the products she believes will keep their haircuts healthy and long lasting.
Dipali Choudhari

Dipali began her career obtaining a bio-medical engineering degree. After meeting her husband and admiring her mother in law who is a successful hairstylist and salon owner, Dipali couldn’t seem to settle her own day dreaming for joining the beauty industry herself. Through their support, she made the career change into becoming a Cosmetologist. She now brings over 8 years of experience and passion working with clients in America and India. Her professionalism and sincerity brings the best out in her clients making them feel at home in her chair.
When a client leaves their appointment, they look and feel their best inside and out because of how she enjoys her time with them. Dipali is always eager to learn new techniques and is keeping up with the latest trends in the fashion industry. She actively diversifies her portfolio of services such as Keratin,Blow Drying, Updos, Eyelash tint, Eyelash Perm, and Eyebrows Threading. Dipali is a mother which makes her great with kids cuts and able to cater to their specific needs. Dipali is also available for on site special event and wedding hair along with being a talented Henna tattoo artist.
